    OpTIC Glyndwr Ltd - St. Asaph Business Park, purpose build facility adjacent to the A55.
     
    OpTIC is part of an initiative to create a network of new business incubation centres throughout Wales – we are in business to help other businesses grow. OpTIC is designed to support and grow both established and new start-up companies working with and developing dynamic new technologies. The OpTIC facility is run by OpTIC Glyndŵr Ltd, a private sector company and subsidiary of Glyndŵr University. We are currently seeking the following self-motivated individuals to strengthen our existing team: 
     
    Optical Process Engineer
    Full time
    Fixed term for 16 months
    £25 - £30K per annum dependant on experience
    Qualifications : Minimum HND in Engineering / Technical discipline
     
    To be responsible for the programming of CNC machine tools and performing the tool path analysis. Experience in the processing of precision optical surfaces and metrology, including interferometry and profilometry is essential. To provide direct technical support to the production team as required to achieve targets. Support / facilitate the engineering team in troubleshooting complex equipment & process problems to root cause, and in implementing permanent solutions to prevent recurrence. To provide training & technical leadership as required to enhance the skills of the operators. The candidate must be a competent communicator, computer literate, and enjoys problem solving. It is crucial that you are flexible in your approach to work, due to the nature of this position shift work will be required.
